Balchik
Approximately 1 km from the apartments is the town of Balchik, here you will find many bars and restaurants fronting the harbour. It is a fabulous place to relax in the summer evenings, enjoying a glass of wine and looking out to sea and the coastal views of the lights of Albena, Golden Sands and Varna. The harbour is full of small boats and many boating trips are available.
The town provides all the facilities you need including banks, shops and supermarket.
Balchik is a quiet town, it has some small beaches and very suited to families and couples.
Queen of Romanias Palace and the Botanical Gardens, Balchik
On a visit to Balchik one must visit the Queen of Romanias Summer Palace and the beautiful botanical gardens, which are at their best in the summer months. You can also taste wine here and buy Bulgarian produced wine

Just a few minutes to the south of Serena apartments by bus or car you will find the the fabulous family coastal resort of Albena. Gary Player Golf Course, Topola

Cape Kaliakra
Situated a few miles to the north of Serena apartments is the Cape Kalikra, this is an historical place, fought over many times with a small coastal fortress. There is a museum here and a cafe. From Kaliakra you can enjoy magnificent view across the Black Sea and it is a great place to view wild birds and dolphins.
Other place to visit are a mussels farm just to the north of Kaliakra, where you can eat freshly prepared mussels.
Also there are many remote soft sandy beaches you can explore in the area, monasteries and of course all the nightlife and facilities you could wish for in the city of Varna to the south of the Apartments.
